12:43 pm - Just a quick say hey
Hey

So i was browsing around at my hil-freakin-arious older LJ's and realized that i didn't update at all in the year 2004. Go me for keeping people posted!!

Meanwhile, The daily show is the most intelligent show in the history of this planet. I'll post more on this later. The fate of my people depends on it.

so yah,

that's it.

interesting tidbit of the moment: I could've been abreviating this for years now, but I haven't. Oh well.

8:30 am - Would you bite the hand that feeds you?
Yo-

So Last night I went and saw Nine Inch Nails in seattle. Queens of the Stone Age opened up for them, and this other band called Autolux did too. I bought della tickets for graduation (she's a big NIN fan) so we went together.

Baically, the show kicked sick ass. Queens Rocked my world (i'm kinda a fan) and NIN, who I'm not a huge fan of, were A-MAZE-ING.

I've never seen a band so absolutely animated, and i've never heard a concert that sounded so good. Also, the crowd was SO into the show. It was sweet.

so yah,

thats it.

interesting tidbit of the moment: Trent Reznor rocks my world.

9:18 am - Now i'm starting to feel like ken schram, idiot on the street.
Yo-

So I was checking the Kiro website this morning in a mostly unrelated story on myspace, and I stumbled across a little poll.

The question was "Should rescuing the pets of hurricane Katrina continue to be a priority?" and the choice of responses were: "Yes, pets are people too." and "No, resources should be used to help the people."

If I were on Jeopardy (which i'm not, so don't ask) I would say "What is 'No, resources should be used to help the people' Alex", to which Mr. Trebek would say "you got it" or "right" (sidenote: just think of alex saying that.. it's fun)

Apparently, however, 70% of the people polled were incorrect, and lost that daily double. I think it's funny that people are absolutely more than willing to help the animals of N.O. (and i do believe they could use it) but when it comes to helping other people it's like NO WAY!

outrageous. If I had money, i'd at least try and help out, but when it comes to the pets, i'd say there're more important things there to help out with. Probably 70% of the city is going to be razed (torn down) and rebuilt. thats a LOT of capital to be put into something, but these people need it. I think this is important, and the pets can wait.

but that's just what i think.

(i also think i should start a real blog about my complaints of things... then you wouldn't have to read it here.)

just thought i'd write a bit.
so yah,

that's it.

interesting tidbit of the moment: Americans are lame-o. I'm American. therefore, I'm lame-o. Thank you Modus Ponens. Thank you.

9:00 am - Seattle and southward.... Groooooan
The drivers and traffic in King and Pierce Counties suck.

I originally wrote a much longer LJ about it, but I decided no one wants to read me bitching about traffic, so i just abbreved it to the above statement.

Meanwhile, I saw a sweet circus in fairhaven last night. It was kinda like cirque du soliel- it was awesome.

so yah,

thats it.

interesting tidbit of the moment: Someone stole a tv out of one of the motorhomes last night. I'm callin matlock!

1:06 pm - I hate this country...
Or at least the idiots that run it.

There comes a time when we need to put our arrogance and bastardness away and be grateful for our neighbors.

I know you're confused as to what I'm talking about, so here it goes:

While reading the news, I stumbled across this little story. If you don't want to read it, It says that the US (that's our US) has turned away aid from Cuba for the Hurricane in New Orleans. Disclaimer: I may use profane language for the remainder of this letter.

I think this is absolutely fucking ridiculous. Our government (and that little cum guzzler that leads it) needs to take their balls out of their hands for one god-damned minute and accept what's offered. Besides, It's not exactly like they are getting high praise for their responses to the hurricane in the first place. First the FEMA director's out, and from what it looks like, Cum Guzzler Bush--er.. I mean George W Bush isn't faring too well either. His approval ratings have plummeted to his lowest yet, and even his supporters are starting to doubt him. The worst part is that the only answer about cuba's offer came from a white house spokesman and was as follows: "When it comes to Cuba, we have one message for Fidel Castro: He needs to offer the people of Cuba their freedom."

Now Maybe I'm a bit of a retard.. I did only major in Linguistics, but to me the offer may seem like a bit of an olive branch from cuba. This could lead to our possible talks and negotiations with them, and ultimately, a solution to the white house's "message"-> freedom for the people.

It just seems stupidly insane that the us is gonna turn down some help, only to perpetuate this thing.

If Cuba is such a big deal, why not do what we always do? Invade the country, capture the leader, and imprison him, then try him in a "fair" court for all the crimes he's committed? Sounds good to me, and what the hell, this iraq things getting old--i think the US could use a new war.

I hate this fucking country. (or, again, the ball holding idiots that run it)

note: the words expressed in this journal do not necessarily represent the author and in no way explain the desires or urges of said author. bullshit.

Anyway, I read that and it really pissed me off. I'm moving.

so yah,

that's it

interesting tidbit of the moment: Fuck Bush.

8:36 am - There was a time...
Hey everyone-

You know, back when we were young, pranks were in good spirit and nature, not to disrupt people.

What the hell am I talking about? Well, listen up y'all, 'cuz I-bot is in tha hizzay!

Last night, at approximately 3.30 in the AM, I was awoken to the sound of a very loud bell and alarm. Immediately following, Della and I heard some people lauging and running away from our building. Someone had set the fire alarm off... FUCKERS! The worst part was I had to be up at 7 to go to work (go rv-ville!) SO anyway, the alarm is goin off for like 20 minutes, and it's the kind that is built into the building, so the best that I can do is put tape over the alarm to at least dampen the noise.

About 20 mins into the ordeal, I call 911 to see where the hell they are--I could be burning for christ's sake! This was the first time i've called the 2 (thats slang talk for 911, just add up the numbers intil you get a single digit), and the sad part was that I wasn't saving anybody's life or anything... lame! Apparently the alarm was on a different building in my apts and they were there already. It was still annoying though.

The most suck-ass worst part about it though is that after the fucker turned off, I didn't get back to sleep until about 4.45 am. So Now I'm tired and grumpy. I did buy 2 apples at haggen's (mmm) but that didn't solve all of my problems. I'm still at el crappy rv (actual name: el monte rv).

it ain't all bad though. tomorrow is my day off, and i got a $240 bonus on my paycheck... thank god i have rent to pay, or else i just dont know what would do if i didn't!

yah.

thats it.

6:26 pm - I don't sieg heil to no one bitch.
Wassup y'all!

So I've been working for about 3 months now at this lovely place in ferndale called El Monnte RV and we rent RV's.

The company is a little odd, mainly because they treat their customers like crap. They disrespect them and try to stiff them out of any money they can.

the other thing about it: i work with these 2 german people (like german german) and they seem to think they run the world. The always boss you around like crazy, and they like to accuse you of doing things. It really bugs me though, because they have ZERO autonomy. If there is any question that arises, it's answered with a "did you ask mike?" (editors note: mike is the boss). An absence of autonomy is something i definitely do not have. So!

Today, we had a renter return and they had some problems. I figured it all out, and set out to refund them $706.02. Normally this would be an "ask mike"-cident but mike wsa gone today. So I processed the refund and did everything i could (i am not allowed to refund more than $300, as the computer straight up won't let me) and took it over everyone's heads and called the big boss up. It took some arguing, but i got it refunded and had this group leave as a happy italian family.

After i was done, and told the germans what had happened, they go, did you get it authorized, and did you call the main office, etc.. and I was like yah, you know i can't refund more than $300.

basically in more words than necessary, i let the germans have it. I'm hoping they'll realize that I ain't sieg'en heil to anyone.

I know this was pointless, but what can i say? I'm DAMN tired... and lame-o

so before this gets any more pointless, boring, and out of hand...
that's it.

interesting tidbit of the moment: i'm tired.

8:45 pm - I'm an Aunt!
At least thats what my mom says. I got a phone call earlier today and she said "i'm a new aunt". Actually what happened is my sister had a baby today, 7lbs 2oz, 20 inches tall. (not long, tall). This is a first for me, as well as my sister, so its cool.

Her name is Madison Eve Rutherford, but i'm gonna call her what she is: Baby.

Exciting huh? I almost teared up a little when my mom said so. Both my sister and Baby are fine, and hopefully all will go well for good. Also Ryan--the dad--is allegedly a very proud father. That's cool..

so yah,

that's it.

8:39 pm - Yo check me out...
I know how to post a live journal every 6 months.

Wassup guys! I just stumbled across this idea in my mind that said dude- you should update the ol' LJ, and dammit, i am. frankly, i'm still surprised my LJ is still here. But! Really quickly, what i'm up to:

  • I work at an RV rental place in Ferndale, not very exciting but its cool.

  • I'm desparatly craving grad school (and spelling lessons --hint see desparatly--)

  • I'm getting ready to move to ellis street

  • And my birthday is in less than a month

Now by a round of applause, who knew that a list had to come of that? I think it's the only html tag i like. (blessed blessed organization.)

So that's about a year of me in a nutshell. if you haven't been tantalized enough and want more, feel free to email my punk-ass, the addy's still the same. but other than that, i think...

thats it.

12:25 pm - Domo Arigato Mr. Roboto
Hey everyone-

I don't think that I really mentioned this to anyone but I've been kinda busy attempting to do some sort of thing with my life. My top two are Teach English in Japan or Go to grad School in Australia. Wow, that sure is International! I know.

But I've had the first step completed, I had an interview to Teach in japan. It was ok, but by the time that it came around, I was not excited to go to japan at all. I'm way more into the Australia thing now anyways.

But anywho, I had the interview, and I think that something may be wrong. Read on.

For the vast majority (ok, entirety) of my working life, I've always "gotten the job". My interview skills were razor sharp, and I was more often than not gainfully employed. Currently, I'm still "working" up at the ridge, and it seems that its starting to fall apart, but I don't know, that may be a separate post for a separate day. Meanwhile, the interview thing: I had an interview at Starbucks in december, and i didn't get the job... wierd, since i've been hired by them before and know that i "make the cut".

Now for the japan thing, the interview went well, but i just wasn't feeling it, and i don't think the lady interviewing me was either. it was wierd. i guess we'll find out in 2 weeks. (big envelope means yes, little means no).

So i guess we'll find out in 2 weeks. I'm not sure which I look forward to, but I find out either way.

thats it.

current mood: It's cold here.

11:43 pm - Dude, I rock at things.
So tonight I went to play Cranium with my friends from work, and I realized one inalienable fact: I Rock at Cranium. Last night I was playing Fuzion Frenzy with them on Xbox, and was pretty much raped, and it wasn't fun. But tonight I laid it down to them with cranium. They were like Halfway around the board and my team (led by me) was finished. At the end of the game, I loudly exclaimed, (yelled, actually) "Take that Fuzion Frenzy Rapists!" It was well recieved.

Also, I bought 5.56 pounds of Oranges at haggen's for $1.83.

Yay for cheap oranges.

Meanwhile, I'm sitting here in the computer lab at 11.46 on a saturday night (and no, I'm not a student here anymore) with my girlfriend who's typing something up for a class. Exciting huh!? hm.

thats all though.

11:21 am - It's a bird! No! It's a plane!
Nope! It's a window washer on a crane.

I'm at the VU (like always) and all of a sudden i see this man floating outside the windows. At first i laughed at my surprise, but then i opened the window and knocked him off. (just kidding, guys. Geez) Anyways though, it was kinda funny to see someone cleaning the windows. I've always enjoyed the VU for its view, and now we add an entertainer. Fascinating.

Meanwhile...
I went to the crappily craptastic Finaid office and they told me that my PLUS loan should be there (for sure) on tuesday. Thank shit.

Oh yah, also! yesterday i had lunch with anya, cuz she wanted to see my stalker, and fuck be all, she wasn't there. So now anya says i'm just trying to make myself feel important. I'll show her!

11:19 am - I think i have a stalker
yo-

So I think i might have a stalker. No joke! its true! Yesterday when i was eating my microwrap in peace, there was this girl there and everytime i looked over at her she was staring at me. It was kinda wierd, kinda flattering. Then i went outside for a bit, because it was nice, and she came outside and sat a few tables down from me, then when i went to class, she got up and was a few steps behind me all the way to my class, where she just passed me.

Now this might seem a bit paranoid, but i don't think its too paranoid.

point in case: Here i sit again, at the VU, and here she sits, again, at the VU. looking at me etc etc. It was wierd to the point where i couldn't even finish my microwrap! (and believe me, if you know me at all, thats no problem). I don't know, i guess i'll just see if she's gonna follow me to my class again, maybe she just happens to have a similar schedule as me, but who knows. Regardless, its fuckin freaky!!!

interesting tidbit of the moment: it's supposed to be sunny and warm out the rest of the week! yay for swimming!

9:23 am - Rain Rain, Go away
Ok, so it's not raining, heck, its barely even cloudy, but it seems like my day has been a bit on the downs, pretty sad, since my day has only been 1hr 25 mins long so far.

So what happened?

Well, doctor, It all started about 8.25 this mornin'. I had made an arranged payment to my credit card bill so it wouldn't be late, further plunging my credit level. I had figured my financial aid check would be here by now, and it wasn't so i called (actually i called 3 times yesterday to stop it) them today and have them stop it. Well, they had already sent the check, so its gonna bouncy bounce all the way back to them, and hopefully it'll go good this next time.

Then, doctor, I was fixin to do my hair, and i have this little pump on my hair gel thing, and i pumped it and SQUIRT!!!! it went not into my hand, as expected, but rather onto my shirt, the very one i was hoping to wear today. Suck!

Then! I wen't to the financial aid office to check on my status, and they said my parent plus loan was rejected due to my mom's credit level or something like that. so they gave me a form to fill out and told me that my finaid should be there by friday at the latest. Friday!!! why the fuck couldn't they have done that before, i've been waiting since june twenty-fucking-third for an answer on my PLUS loan, and nothing. Now, i fill out a form and it takes 3 days! BS! *editor's note: Any negative sentiments from here on in regarding this university are the opinion of the author.* I hate this fucking university with their 'slower than a bipartisan congress' policies and work habits. Sometimes i wonder if they even do anything at all.

I hate this place.

9:04 am - Western Today
Hey y'all

So as i was walking on campus, i saw several things that caught my eye.

First off, its cheerleader and volleyball camp this week for all the highschool/early college aged girls at western. This means that there are literally hundreds of Skinny cute spandex-clad bouncy girls all around. I feel a few different things after seeing this. Annoyed by all of that 'pep' but more importantly, i feel great. Call me crazy but seeing a ton of cute girls does me well.

Next, I think that it is an unoffical four-square camp. In red square today i saw probably about 35 kids playing what looked like 100-square, but it might have been a bunch of smaller games. I was scared.

Also, i saw some kids drawing chalk outlines of themselves on the bricks, and i saw some girl bull-charge another girl, and then immediately started walking like a gorilla.

This place is wierd.

11:43 am - this maked me laff.
I saw this in the Las Vegas Mercury, a seattle weekly-esque periodical. readon.

New York, San Francisco named finalists for next terror attack

PESHAWAR, Pakistan--Mirroring the selection process of the International Olympic Committee, terrorist group Al Qaeda Tuesday announced New York and San Francisco as finalists for the next apocalyptic terror strike.

While acknowledging New York as the "unquestioned symbol of America's oppressive might and bottomless evil," Al Qaeda said San Francisco's slick presentation and four-color brochure had "really opened our eyes."

The San Francisco delegation opened its bid with an 18-minute video titled, "San Francisco: Terror's New Home." The video stressed the city's densely packed population, lax policing and smug American superiority.

The voice-over made note of San Francisco's ease of access, the city's richly mixed population in which terrorists might effortlessly hide, and the Bay Area's many "nationally recognized architectural icons which fairly beg for attack."

The brochure, "Golden Gate to Horror," captivated Al Qaeda committee members with its detailed blueprints of the famous bridge's supports and rigging.

"The San Francisco delegation is to be congratulated for its professional and informative presentation," judge Mullah Omar said. "The embossed binders are an especially nice touch. We are very impressed."

Thank you, Las Vegas Mercury World Report

11:18 am - yo yo yo party people!
Yo-

So I'm back in bellingham and at school after the weekend. It was a good 'un. What'd we do you ask? Well, i'm glad you did.

We went camping at Ft.Stevens (yes, the very same ft. stevens we went to after i moved back from LV) And it was pretty fun. We Swam in the lake that's there, got rained (well actually heavily misted) on, and hung out at cannon beach, where i had some good pizza and a majorly Craptastic allergy attack. Blargh. Anyways, We went into seaside to watch the fireworks (me, anya, my mom, and her dog), and that dog was SO terrified by all the fireworks (believe me, there were a lot) that i had to carry him. He even tried to jump into some lady's van that was open and parked on the street. It was really funny.

Then we drove back up and i got the coolest thingy: I have a nalgene bottle and it's one of those widemouth ones, which means i spill a lot on me. Well, not anymore, I got this little splash guard ad it basically turns it into a spout. Yay, neat ian. Yah sure.

anyways though, that's all that really happened. It was really fun though.

so yah,
thats it

p.s. I really want to play tennis.

11:14 am - This post is about my Microwrap
So I am in between classes right now, and i just ate a microwrap. Yummy. I got it on a chili cheese wrap, and had salsa in it, and i tried something i hadn't tried before, dipping it in taco sauce. Who knew it'd be so yumrageous. (it was.)

As much as i hate this school, and the politics of the university, their microwraps are good, and sometimes, some of the other food is tasty too.

Let's impeach Karen Morse, and get a microwrap in there for prez!

end.
